Meet Our Authors - Becky Wilde

My name is Becky Wilde. I have previously written as Becca Van, an author for Siren BookStrand.

I have written over 100 books under the pseudonym of Becca Van and decided it was time for a change. I am now writing and self-publishing under the pseudonym of Becky Wilde under Whimsical Words Publishing.

W.W.P. is my passion project and mental health delivery system. I started this Indy Publishing website and “business” because of almost being burned out as an author for a more traditional publisher. The demands they made were amplified by myself, leading to me struggling to maintain a healthy outlook for my writing and almost giving up.

I needed a break from writing. I did that.

I needed to have more freedom of what I was writing. I have that.

I wanted to more control of how often I would be writing to pursue another passion, travel. I now have that also.

Home has been in the southern state of Victoria in Australia. Right now we are travelling, having packed up all our belongings and rented out our house, to live in an off road, off grid caravan, and travel this fantastic country.

Australia is a vast country with tropical forests, vast deserts, and sweeping plains. Due to the lack of water and vast aridity, a large part of the country is uninhabitable, and most of the population lives along the coastlines. Although Australia can be harsh, I find it to be a wonderful country.

I love my country, the changing landscapes and the friendly people.

I have been married to my husband for more than 34 years and though we’ve had our ups and downs like any normal couple, we’re still going strong.

We have two adult children, a girl and a boy whom we love dearly.
